Recommended Filter Set for Facebook (AND Mode)

All filters work in conjunction (AND) — traffic enters StreamSet only if ALL conditions are met. FB moderation will fail if at least one condition is not met and will go to WhitePage.

1. Country → IN

• Key: user_country, value: list of countries for which the offer is intended

• Facebook crawlers usually come from United States, Sweden, Ireland.

2. Bot Detect → IS NOT

• Key: user_bot, value: 1

• Facebook crawlers are identified as bots — this is the first barrier.

3. User Agent → IS NOT

• Key: user_ua

• Facebook moderation uses characteristic UA strings. Wildcards * are supported: the pattern is applied to the User Agent string.

4. ASN Provider → IS NOT

• Key: user_asn

• Values (ASN Facebook/Meta):

• Moderation operates from the IP addresses of Meta data centers. Real users come from regular ISPs.

5. ext_click_id → IS NOT @empty (optional)

• Key: ext_click_id

• Values: @empty

• A real click from Facebook always contains fbclid. Moderation often comes without it. The filter only passes traffic with a non-empty click_id.

6. Proxy Detect → IS NOT (optional)

• Key: user_proxy, value: 1

• An additional level — filters out proxy/VPN traffic, which is often used by bots.

7. IPv6 → IS NOT (optional)

• Key: user_ip_v6, value: 1

• Facebook crawlers often operate over IPv6. If the target audience is on IPv4 — this is another barrier.

How It Works

1. A request from FB moderation comes to the tracking link

2. The system sequentially checks the filters of the set

3. In AND mode, each filter must pass — moderation will fail at least 2-3 of them (bot, UA, ASN)

4. The set does not match → traffic goes to WhitePage

5. A real user from FB passes all filters → enters StreamSet → sees the offer

Important: make sure to set up WhitePage (URL type or SYSTEM) in the campaign so that blocked moderation traffic sees a harmless page.
