Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

General Questions

Q: How many sources can be created?

A: The number of sources is unlimited. Create as many as needed for your work.

Q: Can one Source be used for multiple campaigns?

A: Yes, one source can be used in any number of campaigns. A source is simply a configuration for mapping parameters.

Q: What to do if the source is not working?

A: Check:

  1. The correctness of the parameter settings (GET Param Name)

  2. The presence of parameters in the campaign URL

  3. The correctness of the postback URL

  4. User access rights

Parameters

Q: What is the difference between GET Param Name and Value?

A:

  • GET Param Name — mapping the parameter name from the source to the standard tracker name

  • Value — source macro for generating tracking URL

Examples:

  1. ext_click_id:

    • GET Param Name: fbclid (mapping)

    • Value: {campaign.id} (for URL)

    • Result: The tracker looks for the parameter fbclid in the URL and records it in ext_click_id. The tracking URL will contain ?ext_click_id={campaign.id}

  2. utm_campaign:

    • GET Param Name: (empty)

    • Value: {campaignid} (for URL)

    • Result: The tracker looks for the parameter utm_campaign in the URL. The tracking URL will contain ?utm_campaign={campaignid}

Q: Can fields be left empty?

A:

  • GET Param Name — can be left empty, then the tracker will look for the parameter with the original name (e.g., ext_click_id, utm_source)

  • Value — can be left empty, but then the parameter will not be included in the tracking URL

Q: What macros are supported in Value?

A: Depends on the traffic source. Examples:

  • Facebook: {campaign.id}, {adset.id}, {ad.id}

  • Google: {campaignid}, {adgroupid}, {creative}

  • TikTok: __CAMPAIGN_ID__, __CID__, __CRID__

Check with your traffic source for the list of available macros.

Q: What will happen if ext_click_id is not configured?

A: The system will not be able to track conversions from the source correctly. Always configure ext_click_id.

Q: How to set up dynamic click cost?

A:

Option 1: Through source macro

  • GET Param Name: (empty)

  • Value: {bid} or {campaign.bid}

  • Result: The tracking URL will be ?cost={bid}, the source will insert the current bid

Option 2: Through mapping

  • GET Param Name: bid_amount

  • Value: {bid}

  • Result: The tracker looks for the parameter bid_amount in the URL and records it in cost. The tracking URL will be ?cost={bid}

Postback

Q: Is it mandatory to configure postback?

A: No, postback is optional. Configure it only if the source supports sending conversions back.

Q: How to know if postback is working?

A: Check in the source interface:

  • Facebook: Events Manager → Test Events

  • Google: Conversions → Conversion tracking

  • TikTok: Events → Event Management

Or use test conversions in the tracker.

Q: Can postback be changed after creating the source?

A: Yes, open the source for editing and change the URL or events in the Postback / Pixel section.

Q: What to do if postback is not sent?

A: Check:

  1. The correctness of the URL (protocol https://, parameters)

  2. The presence of an access token (if required)

  3. Event settings (events must be filled in)

  4. Pixel logs in the Pixels section

A:

  • Usage: when creating a Source in the Template field
