Billing System
How the Billing Period Works
The billing period is a fixed 30-day interval during which your plan is active. It is not a calendar month: when you activate a plan, the period is created for exactly 30 days from the current date.
Example: plan activated on January 15 → period runs until February 14.
Renewal happens automatically on the period end date: the system checks teams every hour and charges the subscription fee from the team balance. All limits are refreshed on renewal, and usage starts counting from zero.
What Happens If the Balance Is Insufficient
The subscription fee is not charged and the plan switches to the Suspended status. The team receives an in-app and email notification.
As soon as the balance is topped up with a sufficient amount, the plan is renewed automatically — immediately after the funds are credited.
While the plan is suspended, individual discounts on overage charges do not apply — overages are billed at full price.
What Limits Are
Limits are the amount of resources included in the subscription fee. Within the limits, resources are used at no extra cost.
Example (Pro plan, $99):
15,000 tracker events
3,000 PWA installs
3 team members
What Overages Are
Overages are resource usage above the included limits. They are billed at your plan's overage prices. Actual usage is reconciled automatically roughly every 30 minutes, and the charge is debited from the team balance.
Example (Pro plan):
25,000 tracker events used, 15,000 included → overage of 10,000 events
10,000 ÷ 1,000 (quantum) = 10 blocks
10 blocks × $0.07 = $0.70 charged
Overage charges can take the balance below zero — the system sends a warning when the balance reaches zero or goes negative.
How Quantization Works
Quantization defines how an overage is converted into billable blocks.
Tracker events (quantum 1,000, rounding down — floor):
Overage of 12,750 events → 12,750 ÷ 1,000 = 12.75 → 12 blocks
Charged on Pro: 12 × $0.07 = $0.84. The incomplete thousand (750 events) is free.
PWA installs (quantum 1, per unit):
Overage of 127 installs → 127 blocks → 127 × $0.04 = $5.08
Active team members (quantum 1, per unit):
3 included (Pro), 5 active → overage of 2 members → 2 × $9.00, prorated by the remaining days of the cycle (see below)
Double-Charging Protection
The system remembers how many blocks have already been paid in the current period and only charges for new blocks. Being charged twice for the same resources is impossible.
Example (Pro plan, 15,000 events limit):
Day 1: 17,000 events used → overage 2,000 → 2 blocks charged ($0.14)
Day 15: 25,000 used → 10 overage blocks in total → only 8 new blocks charged ($0.56)
Day 25: 32,000 used → 17 blocks in total → 7 new blocks charged ($0.49)
Period total: 17 blocks × $0.07 = $1.19
Prorated Charges for Extra Team Members
An active member is an active (not deactivated) account in your team. Members above the limit are charged proportionally to the days remaining in the current 30-day cycle. This is the only metric with prorated pricing — events and installs are billed at the full block price.
Example (Pro plan, 3 members included):
On day 20 of the cycle the team has 5 active members → overage of 2
10 days remaining → price: ($9.00 × 10) ÷ 30 = $3.00 per member
Total: 2 × $3.00 = $6.00
Changing Plans
Upgrade, cancellation and reactivation rules are described on the "Switching Between Plans" page. In short: you can only move to a more expensive plan (or one with the same price), the full price of the new plan is charged, a new 30-day cycle starts, and no proration is applied.
