Glossary — Billing System

Subscription fee (monthly fee) — the fixed price of a plan for a 30-day period.

Billing period — a fixed 30-day interval starting at plan activation (not a calendar month) during which the plan is active.

Team balance — the team's internal USD account from which the subscription fee and overage charges are debited. It can go negative due to overage charges.

Limits — the amount of resources (tracker events, PWA installs, team members) included in the subscription fee at no extra cost.

Overages — resource usage above the included limits; billed at the plan's prices, with usage reconciled automatically roughly every 30 minutes.

Quantum — the unit of measurement for overage calculation (e.g., 1,000 events; 1 install; 1 member).

Block — a number of overage quanta (e.g., 50 blocks = 50,000 events).

Rounding: floor — down (events: an incomplete thousand is free), ceil — up (PWA installs and members are counted per unit).

Proration — applies only to extra team members: the charge is proportional to the days remaining in the cycle. No proration applies to the subscription fee or to event/install overages; there is no proration when switching plans.

Active team member — an active (not deactivated) account in the team. Members above the limit are charged extra.

Upgrade — switching to a plan with a higher (or equal) subscription fee. The full price of the new plan is charged, a new 30-day cycle starts, and usage counts from zero. Unused days of the old plan are not compensated.

Downgrade — switching to a cheaper plan. Blocked while the current plan is in effect; only possible after cancellation and expiry of the paid period.

Cancel — opting out of auto-renewal. The plan keeps working until the end of the paid period; no refunds.

Reactivation — resuming a canceled plan before the paid period expires. Free of charge; the period is kept.

Suspended — the plan status when the balance was insufficient at renewal. The subscription fee is not charged; after a top-up the plan renews automatically. While suspended, overage discounts do not apply.

Renewal — automatic prolongation of the plan every 30 days with the subscription fee debited from the team balance.

CAS (Check-And-Set) — the double-charging prevention mechanism: the system atomically tracks the counter of paid blocks, so being charged twice for already paid resources is impossible.
