Deactivating a team lead releases their buyers

Previously an inactive team lead kept “holding” their buyers: the lead was not shown in the users table, the buyers looked free, yet they could not be assigned to another team lead, and their access was still capped by the inactive lead's rights. Now deactivating a team lead releases their buyers.

  • Confirmation: when you deactivate a team lead from the row menu or the user card, the dashboard warns you: the lead loses the rights to their buyers, the buyers move under the team owner, and their resource visibility is calculated from the owner.
  • After confirmation: the lead's list of assigned buyers is cleared and their access to the “Users” section is reset to “Own”. The buyers become free, appear under the team owner and can be assigned to another lead; their access limits are lifted right away.
  • Re-activation: the lead does not get the whole team back automatically — buyers and the rights to the “Users” section are granted anew.
  • Any way: the rule also applies when a lead is deactivated via the public API or MCP, not only from the interface.
  • Limitation: team leads deactivated before this update still hold their buyers — reset their “Users” group manually.

Where to find it: Users → row ⋮ menu → “Deactivate”, or the user card → status.
