We reworked how the dashboard handles a new release: a release no longer interrupts your work, your session is not lost, and the update prompt is shown once and stays out of the way.
- Zero-downtime releases. The new version starts next to the current one and traffic switches only once it is fully ready, so the dashboard stays available during a release. If the server is temporarily unavailable anyway, the dashboard shows a waiting screen and brings you back to where you were, without signing in again.
- The “A new version is available” dialog is shown once per version. “Later” collapses it into a small reminder in the corner of the screen: it does not get in the way and stays until you update; later versions do not reopen it. Click the reminder to see the dialog with the “Update now” button again.
- “Update now” waits for the server to be ready and only then reloads the page, so you land straight in a working dashboard. If the update cannot be activated because other dashboard tabs are open, you will see a hint to close them.
- Open tabs are no longer kicked to the sign-in page during a release: a temporarily unavailable server is now distinguished from an expired session, and no password is required.
- Multiple tabs stay consistent: “Later” applies to all tabs at once, and updating in one tab does not break the others.
Where to find it: the dialog and the reminder appear automatically after a new version is released, in any section of the dashboard; the waiting screen appears only while the server is temporarily unavailable.
